Dr Neill van der Walt is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee surgery.
He has a special interest in sports injuries, cartilage surgery, knee instability, mal-alignment and arthritis.
He obtained his medical degree at the University of Pretoria and his Orthopaedic degree at the University of KZN.
He recently returned from Sydney Australia after dedicating 18 months to an international fellowship training in lower limb reconstructive surgery & arthroplasty and 6 months to upper-limb reconstructive surgery & arthroplasty.
During his fellowship Dr van der Walt had the privilege of treating a large number of professional athletes from a variety of different sports including Rugby league, Rugby Union, Australian Football (AFL), Soccer and Netball. Furthermore he had the opportunity to be trained in new and advanced techniques in joint replacement surgery, including robotic surgery.
